            Privacy at a Glance: HCODX is a privacy-first platform. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data or your code. Any data collected on this site is collected by third-party services (such as Google Analytics and advertising networks) under their own privacy policies.
        

1. Who We Are

HCODX ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at hcodx.com, a free browser-based platform providing an HTML/CSS/JavaScript editor and a suite of developer tools including code formatters, minifiers, validators, converters, and more. No server-side processing of your code occurs; all tools run entirely in your browser.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

Because HCODX requires no registration or login, we do not collect, store, or process any of the following:

Name, email address, or contact details — there is no sign-up form
Your code, projects, or tool outputs — all processing occurs in your browser; nothing is transmitted to our servers
Passwords or credentials
Payment information — HCODX is completely free
Uploaded files — there is no file upload feature
User-generated content stored server-side

3. What We Use — Third-Party Services

HCODX does not directly collect personal data, but we use the following third-party services that may collect information under their own privacy policies:

3.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects:

Anonymized IP address and approximate geographic region
Browser type, device type, and operating system
Pages visited and time spent on site
Referring source and session data

This data is aggregated and anonymous. We use it solely to improve the site. Google Analytics is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You may opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

3.2 CDN and Library Services

Some tools and editor features load open-source libraries from content delivery networks (CDNs) such as Cloudflare, jsDelivr, or unpkg. These CDNs may log your IP address as part of standard server logging. HCODX has no access to those logs.

3.3 Advertising Partners (Coming Soon)

HCODX will soon display advertisements through third-party advertising networks to support our free service. HCODX does not itself collect advertising data. The advertising networks set their own cookies and collect data directly, governed entirely by their own privacy policies.

When advertising is active, these partners may collect through their cookies:

IP address and approximate location
Browser type and device information

We have no access to, and no control over, the data these third parties collect. Their privacy policies govern their data practices, not ours.

4. Browser Local Storage

To save your editor preferences (such as theme, font size, and recent tool settings), HCODX uses your browser's local storage. This data:

Is stored only on your device — never transmitted to our servers
Contains only editor preferences and settings, not your code content
Can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser's site data

5. Cookies

HCODX itself sets minimal cookies. Please see our Cookie Policy for full details. In summary:

Google Analytics cookies: Set by Google to track anonymous site usage
Third-party advertising cookies (coming soon): Set by ad networks directly — not by HCODX
Preference storage: Browser local storage (not traditional cookies) for editor settings

6. Your Advertising Choices

When ads are active, you have the following choices to control personalized advertising:

7. Children's Privacy

HCODX does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). Because no personal data is collected by us, there is inherently no risk of us storing a child's personal data. However, children under 13 (US) or 16 (EU) should only use this site with parental permission, as third-party advertising networks may apply different standards.

8. International Users

HCODX is accessible globally. Because we do not collect personal data, many data protection obligations under GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, and similar laws do not apply to us directly with respect to user data. However, we acknowledge:

GDPR (EU/EEA): Third-party services we use (Google Analytics, ad networks) must comply with GDPR. Residents of the EU/EEA may exercise rights under GDPR directly with those providers.
CCPA (California): We do not sell personal information. California residents interacting with third-party advertising networks should review those providers' CCPA disclosures.
Other jurisdictions: We support your right to manage your data through browser controls and third-party opt-out tools listed above.

9. Security

Because HCODX does not store personal user data on our servers, there is no database of user information to breach. All editor and tool activity occurs client-side in your browser. We serve the site over HTTPS/TLS encryption. Third-party services we integrate are industry-standard providers with their own security programs.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices change — for example, when advertising becomes active. The updated effective date will be reflected at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
