Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

HCODX ("we," "us," "our," or "the Service") operates the website at hcodx.com — a free, browser-based platform providing a comprehensive set of tools across many categories: a Calculator Hub (financial, fitness, math, date, pets, etc.), code editors and online compilers, formatters, converters, encoders, generators, AI utilities (token counters, cost calculators, detectors, humanizers), JSON-to-code generators in many languages, document and image viewers, and many others.

Everything runs as client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your browser. No server-side processing of your inputs occurs; we have no way to see, store, or transmit your code, files, calculator inputs, or any other content you process on the site.

2. What we do NOT collect

Because HCODX requires no signup, login, or upload, we do not collect, store, or process any of the following:

• Name, email address, phone number, or any contact details — there is no signup form anywhere on the site
• Your code, projects, documents, files, or tool outputs — all processing happens in your browser; nothing is transmitted to our servers
• Calculator inputs — every value you type into any calculator stays in your browser
• AI prompts, AI Detector inputs, document contents, or any text you paste into our tools
• Uploaded files — there is no file upload feature; the document viewers process files locally in your browser using JavaScript / WebAssembly
• Passwords, credentials, or payment information — HCODX is completely free and has no accounts or payments
• User-generated content stored server-side — there is no server-side storage of user content

We physically cannot share, sell, lose, or leak data we never had.

3. Google Analytics — to improve our service

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on every page of the site to understand how visitors find and use HCODX. This is the only first-party analytics we run, and we use it to:

• See which tools and calculators are most used, so we can prioritize improvements
• Identify slow pages and fix performance issues
• Spot broken pages, 404s, and JavaScript errors that affect real users
• Understand the rough geographic and device profile of our audience to tune the experience
• Measure whether new features and tools are actually being used

Google Analytics collects, on our behalf:

• Anonymized IP address (IP anonymization is enabled — Google truncates the last octet)
• Approximate geographic region (country / city level only)
• Browser type, device type, screen size, operating system
• Pages visited, time spent on each page, scroll depth
• Referring source (which site sent you to us)
• Anonymous session and visitor identifiers (cookies _ga, _ga_*, _gid)

This data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify any individual visitor from it. Google Analytics is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on — opting out does not affect any tool functionality.

4. Third-party advertising — runs across the entire site

HCODX displays third-party advertising on every page of the site — including the homepage, tool pages, calculator pages, blog, compiler, sitemap, and these legal pages. Advertising revenue is what keeps HCODX completely free, forever, with no paywalls.

We currently work, or may work, with the following advertising partners:

• Google AdSense / Google Ad Manager: primary advertising network. Governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Google Ad Technologies Notice.
• Media.net: contextual advertising network. Governed by the Media.net Privacy Policy.
• Other certified programmatic advertising partners — each operating under its own published privacy policy.

These third-party networks may collect, via their own cookies and tracking:

• IP address and approximate location
• Browser type, device information, operating system
• Pages visited on this site (and across other sites in their network)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, hover time)
• Interest categories inferred from your browsing (where permitted by law)
• Persistent advertising identifiers stored in cookies

Decisions about what data ad networks collect, how long they keep it, who they share it with, and how you can control it are governed entirely by their own privacy policies — not by HCODX. See the opt-out tools in Section 6 below to manage personalized advertising directly with the networks.

5. Browser local storage (stays on your device)

To save your UI preferences (such as theme selection — dark/light, font size, recently-used tool settings), HCODX uses your browser's local storage. This data:

• Is stored only inside your own browser on your own device
• Is never transmitted to our servers or to any third party
• Contains only preference strings (e.g. hcodx-theme: "dark") — never your code, tool inputs, calculator values, or other content
• Can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser's site data for hcodx.com

Local storage is technically distinct from cookies — it doesn't send anything on each request and isn't visible to ad networks or third parties.

6. Your choices — manage analytics and advertising

You have full control over the third-party analytics and advertising data on this site. None of these controls affect tool functionality.

Browser-level controls

• Block third-party cookies in your browser settings (disables most ad-network tracking)
• Enable "Do Not Track" — Google Analytics and many ad networks honor this signal
• Clear all cookies and site data for hcodx.com at any time
• Use private / incognito browsing mode (cookies are wiped at session end)

7. Children's privacy

HCODX does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or under 16 in EU/UK jurisdictions). Because no personal data is collected by us, there is no risk of us storing a child's personal data.

However, third-party advertising networks may apply different standards. Children under 13 (US) or 16 (EU/UK) should only use this site with parental permission. If you believe an advertiser has collected data from a child in violation of applicable law, contact that advertiser directly using the opt-out tools above.

8. International users — GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws

HCODX is accessible globally. Because we do not collect personal data, many obligations under GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), PIPEDA (Canada), LGPD (Brazil), POPIA (South Africa), PDPA (Singapore) and similar laws do not apply to us directly with respect to user data. We acknowledge:

• GDPR (EU/EEA/UK): Third-party services we use (Google Analytics, ad networks) must comply with GDPR. Residents of the EU/EEA/UK may exercise data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) directly with those providers.
• CCPA / CPRA (California): We do not sell or share personal information. California residents interacting with third-party advertising networks should review those providers' CCPA disclosures and use the opt-out tools listed above.
• Other jurisdictions: We support your right to manage personal data through browser controls and third-party opt-out tools.

9. Security

Because HCODX does not store personal user data on our servers, there is no database of user information that could be breached. All editor, calculator, AI tool and viewer activity occurs client-side in your browser. The site is served exclusively over HTTPS with TLS 1.2+ encryption. Third-party services we integrate (Google Analytics, ad networks, CDNs) are industry-standard providers with their own security programs.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices evolve (for example, if we add a new analytics or advertising partner). The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
