1. About HCODX

HCODX ("we," "us," "our," "the Service," "the Site," or "the Platform") is a free, browser-based code editor available at hcodx.com. The Service is an online HTML, CSS & JavaScript editor and IDE with the following features:

• Code editor with live preview: Write and edit HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and see the rendered result update instantly in your browser.
• Multi-file projects: Create, organize, and manage multiple files and folders within a project, with auto-save to your browser's local storage.
• Code formatter & beautifier: Format and tidy HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Minifier: Compress HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for production.
• JavaScript obfuscator: Transform JavaScript to make it harder to read, with optional protection features.
• Responsive tester & console: Preview your project across device sizes and view console output while you work.
• Project export: Download your project files (for example as a ZIP archive) to your own device.

The editor runs entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly. No code, input, output, file, or content is transmitted to or stored on our servers in connection with editor operation. We have no access to anything you type, paste, run, preview, generate, or process on this site. (Live preview is rendered in an isolated preview sandbox in your own browser.)

2. No Accounts — No Personal Information Required

HCODX does not offer user accounts, registration, login, or any authentication mechanism. You do not provide us with any personal information to use any feature of this site. Because there are no accounts:

• There is no account to create, modify, or delete
• There is no profile, username, password, or saved data associated with your use
• We have no way to identify, contact, or track individual users beyond standard anonymous analytics
• "Termination" of your use simply means you stop visiting the site

3. Free Service — No Charges, No Hidden Fees, No Paywalls

HCODX is provided entirely free of charge. There are no subscription fees, premium tiers, per-use charges, "pro" plans, transaction fees, in-app purchases, or any other fees, now or in the future, for the code editor or any of its features.

The Service is funded by third-party advertising revenue and we commit to keeping the core functionality of the editor free indefinitely. We will never lock features behind a paywall or require payment information for any reason.

4. Advertising

HCODX displays advertisements served by independent third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense) to support the free operation of this service. By using HCODX, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Advertisements may appear on any page of this site, including alongside the editor interface
• Ads are provided, selected, ranked, and served entirely by third-party networks — not by HCODX
• We do not endorse any advertiser or any product or service advertised on this site
• We are not responsible for the accuracy, quality, safety, legality, or content of any advertisement or advertised product or service
• Any transaction you enter into with an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser — HCODX is not a party to it and has no responsibility for it
• Third-party advertising networks may set cookies and collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies, which we do not control
• Ad-blocking software is your choice; however, we encourage you to support this free editor through ad viewing if possible

5. The Editor and Its Output — General Disclaimer

5a. Code You Write, Run, and Preview

The HCODX editor executes and renders the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that you provide, inside your own browser. You are solely responsible for the legality, safety, ownership, and accuracy of any code, file, or content you write, paste, run, preview, or export. Do not paste, run, or preview code you do not trust, and do not rely on the live preview as a security sandbox for hostile code.

5b. JavaScript Obfuscator

The JavaScript obfuscator transforms code to make it harder to read; it is not encryption and not a security guarantee. Obfuscated code can still be reverse-engineered, and obfuscation — like minification — may in some cases change the behavior of your code. Always test formatted, minified, or obfuscated output before using it, and never rely on obfuscation to protect secrets, credentials, API keys, or sensitive logic.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use HCODX only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to use the service to:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Create, distribute, or test malicious code, viruses, malware, ransomware, exploit kits, phishing kits, or any harmful software
• Mine cryptocurrency, run distributed compute, or otherwise abuse browser execution
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or any system reached via the editor
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or systematically download content
• Engage in ad fraud, including fraudulent clicking or automated ad impressions
• Write, run, host, or distribute malicious, infringing, or unlawful code or content using the editor

We reserve the right to block access to users or IP addresses engaging in prohibited conduct without notice or liability.

7. Your Code and Content

• You retain full ownership of all code, text, data, files, and content you create or process with HCODX
• HCODX claims no rights, ownership, license, or interest over your code or content
• Because your code and content are not transmitted to our servers, we have no access to your files, code, or anything you edit, run, or preview
• You are solely responsible for backing up your work; we provide no backup, sync, save, or storage service
• You are solely responsible for ensuring your code, files, and data comply with applicable laws and do not infringe third-party rights

8. Intellectual Property

The HCODX platform, its design, its branding, its trademarks, and its original content (excluding third-party libraries and your code/content) are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, mirror, or redistribute the HCODX platform or its interface
• Use HCODX trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission
• Reverse engineer the service beyond what is permitted by applicable law
• Scrape, harvest, or republish substantial portions of the site content

Third-party open-source libraries used within HCODX are subject to their respective licenses.

9. Service Availability

• The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, third-party CDN outages, or circumstances beyond our control
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice or liability
• We may add, change, or remove editor features or functionality at our sole discretion
• Cached files, third-party libraries, or preview output may become outdated; we do not commit to any update schedule

10. Disclaimers — No Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• HCODX IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND
• WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT ANY OUTPUT IS CORRECT, ERROR-FREE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PURPOSE
• WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE UNINTERRUPTED, OR BE FREE OF DEFECTS
• WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY ERRORS OR DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED
• YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK

• Code, content, or files you create, write, run, process, or generate using the service
• Any decision you, or any person acting on information you share, makes in reliance on the editor, its output, or any other content on this site
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Your infringement of any third-party right

HCODX integrates or links to third-party services including CDNs (Cloudflare, jsDelivr, cdnjs), analytics providers (Google Analytics), advertising networks (Google AdSense and others). These services:

• Operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies
• Are not under our control — we are not responsible for their conduct, availability, accuracy, or data practices
• May change or become unavailable, which may affect features of HCODX

HCODX respects intellectual property rights. Because no user content is transmitted to or stored on our servers, DMCA safe harbor provisions as they relate to stored user content do not directly apply. • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use HCODX
• EU/UK residents must be at least 16 years old, or have parental consent (or the lower age set by their member state)
• Users under 18 should use the service with parental awareness and permission
• Schools and educators may use HCODX for classroom instruction under their own supervision and at their own risk; HCODX disclaims responsibility for any classroom outcome, grade, disciplinary action, or other consequence

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time and at our sole discretion. The updated effective date will be reflected at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to updated Terms, discontinue use of the service.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws applicable to the operator of HCODX, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding individual arbitration rather than court proceedings, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. You waive any right to participate in class action, collective action, or representative proceedings against HCODX. Any claim must be brought within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim, or be permanently barred.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HCODX regarding your use of the service, superseding any prior agreements.
